Membership
The Elgin Grabouw Residents and Ratepayers Association represents local residents, advocating for community interests and improved services in the Grabouw area.

Why become a member
EGRRA is a legally constituted and recognized association representing rate-paying households in Theewaterskoof, whether owned or rented. Our members bolster our representation, guide the EGRRA committee, and amplify our influence.
We encourage all residents and ratepayers to obtain an EGRRA Membership and become members of the association.
The annual membership fee is based on the total number of units/households in the estate/complex/apartment.
Please contact us for more information at info@egrra.co.za.
Why pay a membership fee?
Although unpaid volunteers make up the management committee, they need to take care of some expenses. The committee uses modest membership fees to cover these expenses.
Amongst others, these include the following:
- Due to the growth in relevance, expanding range of issues to address and the necessity of speed of access and response, the EGRRA committee uses the services of a virtual and part- time Executive Officer to assist with management,
- Communication and administration;
- We have operational, communication and website expenses;
- For special projects and situations requiring legal action, members vote on the allocation of membership fees, clearly disclosing the sources of funds and detailing payments. This process ensures that costs remain focused, transparent, and project-driven. EGRRA currently holds Nonprofit Organisation (NPO) status, enabling it to broaden its activities in social investment initiatives.

What is EGRRA?
Elgin and Grabouw residents and ratepayers Association (EGRRA) is a non-political, non-profit civil society organisation committed to the sustainable development of the Valley and the advocacy of residents' and ratepayers' interests, particularly the provision of quality municipal services in exchange for rates paid. EGRRA is governed by an Executive Committee that serves on a voluntary basis and acts as the representative body for "the South" of the Theewaterskloof (TWK) Municipality.
We actively collaborate with the TWK Local Municipality, other relevant government bodies, and appointed organisations such as SAPS. Additionally, we maintain strong ties with Ward Councillors, Neighbourhood Watches, and various local, provincial and national entities.
